Refund policy.
When you can get your money back on a paid DueDocs plan, how your statutory consumer rights interact with this policy, and how to request a refund.
Scope
This policy applies to paid DueDocs subscription plans. It forms part of the Terms of Service. DueDocs is operated by Consulting Cadets Pty Ltd (ABN 73 683 393 508) of Epping, Victoria, Australia.
The free plan involves no payment, so no refunds apply to it.
Your statutory rights come first
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under law that cannot lawfully be excluded. This policy adds to those rights; it never replaces them.
- Australia: under the Australian Consumer Law, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If the service has a major failure, you are entitled to a refund or compensation regardless of any time limit in this policy. If the failure is not major, you are entitled to have it fixed in a reasonable time.
- European Union and United Kingdom: if you are a consumer, you have a statutory 14-day cancellation ("cooling-off") right for digital service subscriptions. If you ask us to start providing the service during that period, you may owe a proportionate amount for the period supplied, or you may waive the right by express consent as presented at checkout. Where the cooling-off right applies, it applies even where this policy would otherwise offer no refund.
- Other countries: mandatory consumer refund rights of the country where you live (for example in India, the United States, or Canada) continue to apply where they cannot lawfully be excluded.
Annual plans — 7-day refund window
If you purchase an annual plan, you may cancel and request a full refund within 7 days of the charge. This applies to both the first annual payment and each annual renewal payment.
To keep the window fair, a refund under this section may be declined where usage after the charge indicates the plan was substantially consumed within those 7 days (for example, exhausting a plan quota and exporting everything). Your statutory rights in section 02 are unaffected.
After the 7-day window closes, annual plans are not refundable under this policy, but you can cancel auto-renewal at any time and keep access until the end of the paid year.
Monthly plans
Monthly plans are not refundable under this policy. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and your plan features remain available until the end of the current billing month.
Your statutory rights in section 02 — including remedies for major failures and any applicable cooling-off right — continue to apply to monthly plans.
How to request a refund
Email support@duedocs.com from the email address on your DueDocs account, with the word “refund” in the subject line. Include the approximate date of the charge. We may ask you to confirm account ownership before processing.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through our payment provider. Refunds are typically initiated within 5 business days of approval; your bank or card issuer may take a further 5–10 business days to post the funds.
After a refund
When a refund is issued for a subscription, the paid plan ends and the account returns to the free plan. Documents and reminders are retained subject to free-plan limits and the Privacy Policy; nothing is silently deleted, but features and quotas above the free plan stop being available.
Duplicate, erroneous, and failed charges
Duplicate charges, charges after a confirmed cancellation, and billing errors on our side are refunded in full at any time — no 7-day window applies. Contact support@duedocs.com and we will correct it.
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank so we can resolve it faster.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as plans, providers, or law change. The version shown at the time of your purchase or renewal applies to that charge. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice with reasonable advance notice where appropriate.
