Agreement and operator details

These terms govern access to and use of DueDocs. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What DueDocs is

DueDocs is an individual document-organisation and reminder tool. It lets you store documents under categories and named collections, review optional AI-extracted fields, create reminders, retrieve original files, and generate supported exports.

DueDocs is not an accounting system, expense-management platform, tax-filing service, bank-sync product, insurer, identity provider, legal service, or medical-record system. DueDocs is not a password manager or credential vault: do not store login passwords, PINs, one-time codes, security-question answers, or other access credentials in DueDocs.

No professional advice

Categories, totals, AI suggestions, reminders, and exports are organisational aids only. They are not tax, accounting, financial, legal, medical, insurance, immigration, or identity advice. You are responsible for deciding how a document should be classified and whether it is sufficient for any claim, filing, renewal, or legal obligation.

Consult a suitably qualified professional where the consequences matter.

Eligibility and individual accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract. DueDocs accounts are for individual use. You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not share an account, operate a multi-user workspace through one account, or use another person’s account without permission.

Your responsibilities

• Upload only files you own or are authorised to process.
• Review every AI-suggested field before confirming it.
• Keep independent copies where law, an employer, an insurer, or another organisation requires them.
• Check reminder dates, renewal periods, warranty conditions, document expiry rules, and submission deadlines yourself.
• Do not upload malicious, unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or abusive content.
• Do not upload another person’s identity or medical information without lawful authority and appropriate consent.
• Do not use DueDocs to store login passwords, PINs, one-time codes, or other credentials for other services.

Your content

You retain ownership of files, document information, collection names, reminders, and other content you provide (“Your Content”).

You grant DueDocs a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit, process, format, preview, create thumbnails or structured fields from, and export Your Content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, or legally operate the service. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted, except for temporary backups, legal retention, dispute evidence, or security records.

AI extraction and accuracy

AI extraction is optional, probabilistic, and provided on a best-effort basis. It may misread text, invent a value, omit information, confuse currencies or dates, or suggest an incorrect document type.

No AI result becomes confirmed document data until you review and save it. You remain responsible for verifying all fields against the original document. You can use manual entry when AI is unavailable or inappropriate.

Reminders are not guarantees

Reminder delivery depends on the dates you enter, timezone settings, email delivery, device and network availability, and third-party services. DueDocs does not guarantee that a reminder will be delivered, opened, or acted on before a deadline.

You remain responsible for warranties, subscriptions, renewals, expiries, bills, claims, filings, and other deadlines.

Currency totals and exports

DueDocs does not convert currencies. Totals are displayed separately by original document currency. Exports may contain a CSV summary and original files, but you must verify the contents before relying on or sending an export.

DueDocs does not guarantee that an employer, accountant, insurer, regulator, merchant, or other recipient will accept an export or original file.

Plans, usage limits, and payment

Available features, storage, extraction quotas, reminder channels, export limits, prices, taxes, billing periods, trials, and renewal terms will be shown at sign-up or purchase. They may vary by country.

Payments for paid plans are processed by the payment provider displayed at checkout. Auto-renewal, cancellation, and downgrade terms are presented before purchase. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms or the Refund Policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• Attempt to access another user’s account, files, links, or data.
• Probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with security or usage controls.
• Upload malware, harmful code, illegal content, or content that violates third-party rights.
• Automate or bulk-upload files where the plan or interface does not permit it.
• Resell, scrape, reverse engineer, or use DueDocs to provide an unauthorised service to others.
• Create multiple accounts to evade quotas or restrictions.
• Use DueDocs in a way that violates applicable law.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, security risk, non-payment, unlawful conduct, or a material breach of these terms. Where practical and safe, we will provide notice and an opportunity to respond.

You may cancel a paid plan without deleting your account, or request account deletion separately. Account deletion is destructive and may make original files or reminders permanently unavailable.

Service availability and third parties

DueDocs depends on third-party infrastructure, authentication, object storage, AI, email, payment, and network services. We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Features may be delayed, restricted, suspended, or changed for maintenance, security, legal, provider, capacity, or product reasons.

Security and privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Our current controls and their limits are described on the Security page.

No online service is completely secure. You must use a strong, unique password and secure the devices and email account connected to DueDocs. Uploading sensitive documents (such as identity or medical records) carries inherent risk; you should upload them only if you understand and accept the current controls and limits described on the Security page.

Intellectual property and feedback

DueDocs and its software, brand, interface, documentation, and original content remain owned by the operator or its licensors. These terms grant only a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended individual purpose.

If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without obligation, but you do not transfer ownership of Your Content.

Consumer guarantees and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded — including under the Australian Consumer Law and the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live, such as those of India, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or the European Union.

Subject to those non-excludable rights, DueDocs is provided “as is” and “as available,” and to the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) we exclude all other warranties, conditions, and guarantees, whether express or implied; (b) neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of revenue, or loss of data that could have been avoided by keeping the independent copies described in section 05; and (c) our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and AUD 50.

Disputes and governing law

Before commencing formal proceedings, both parties should try in good faith to resolve a dispute through hello@duedocs.com. This does not prevent urgent relief or a complaint to a regulator.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, subject to mandatory consumer laws. If you live outside Australia, any consumer protections of your country of residence that cannot lawfully be excluded continue to apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice with reasonable advance notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance, unless applicable law requires another form of consent.

General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed only to the extent necessary and the remaining terms will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these terms without consent; the operator may transfer them as part of a lawful business restructure.

These terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, and any plan-specific terms shown at purchase form the agreement concerning DueDocs. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including ownership, lawful retention, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and governing law—survive account termination.
